Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist in Stockport to take ownership of detailed design and technical delivery across residential-leaning projects. You will lead the design team, coordinate information, and ensure compliance with Building Regulations and safety standards.

The role requires strong Revit skills, BIM Level 2 familiarity, and CIAT registration. A design-led practice offers clear progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Strong detailing and coordination skills, residential experience.
• Confident using Revit and familiar with Building Regulations and safety legislation.

Job Title: Senior Architectural Technologist
Location: Stockport
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

We're recruiting on behalf of an established and award-winning architectural practice, working across residential, education, healthcare, commercial and mixed-use projects, with a particular focus on residential-led schemes for housing associations, local authorities and private developers. This is a well-regarded, design-led practice known for long-term client relationships and repeat commissions rather than one-off jobs.

They're now looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join the team and take ownership of detailed design and technical delivery across a varied, residential-leaning project portfolio.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading the detailed design stage and coordinating design information across the project team
• Delivering projects using Revit (experience with BIM Level 2 is a plus), with working knowledge of NBS
• Ensuring designs comply with Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act and other relevant standards, liaising with approving authorities as needed
• Turning design concepts into workable technical solutions, carrying out risk assessments, and managing design changes through to completion

What they're looking for:

• At least 5 years' post-qualification experience working within the UK
• CIAT registration (or an equivalent international qualification)
• Strong technical detailing and coordination skills, ideally with residential project experience
• Confident using Revit and familiar with current Building Regulations and safety legislation
