Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking a Project Architect in Stockport to take ownership of detailed design and delivery across a residential-leaning project portfolio for a well-regarded architectural practice.

You will lead the detailed design stage, coordinate information with the project team, and deliver using Revit while ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in the UK.
• CIAT registration or an equivalent international qualification.
• Strong technical design and coordination skills, ideally with residential experience.
• Confident using Revit and familiar with Building Regulations and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Leading the detailed design stage and coordinating design information across the project team.
• Delivering projects using Revit, with working knowledge of NBS and BIM standards.
• Ensuring designs comply with Building Regulations, Building Safety Act and other relevant standards.
• Turning design concepts into workable technical solutions and managing design changes through to completion.

Job Title: Project Architect

Location: Stockport

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

We're recruiting on behalf of an established and award-winning architectural practice, working across residential, education, healthcare, commercial and mixed-use projects, with a particular focus on residential-led schemes for housing associations, local authorities and private developers. This is a well-regarded, design-led practice known for long-term client relationships and repeat commissions rather than one-off jobs.

They're now looking for a Project Architect to join the team and take ownership of detailed design and delivery across a varied, residential-leaning project portfolio.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading the detailed design stage and coordinating design information across the project team
• Delivering projects using Revit (experience with BIM Level 2 is a plus), with working knowledge of NBS
• Ensuring designs comply with Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act and other relevant standards, liaising with approving authorities as needed
• Turning design concepts into workable technical solutions, carrying out risk assessments, and managing design changes through to completion

What they're looking for:

• At least 5 years' post-qualification experience working within the UK
• CIAT registration (or an equivalent international qualification)
• Strong technical design and coordination skills, ideally with residential project experience
• Confident using Revit and familiar with current Building Regulations and safety legislation
