Job summary

EA Associates in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician/Technologist to join a multidisciplinary consultancy. You will lead technical delivery, coordinating detailed design and production information across projects, working with architects and specialists to ensure BIM Level 2 standards are met.

The ideal candidate has strong Revit and CAD skills, extensive architectural industry experience, and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist to join an established multidisciplinary consultancy in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically focused professional to join a collaborative team, working across a range of architectural and construction projects and playing a key role in the technical delivery of projects.

The Role

As Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist, you will be responsible for supporting and leading the technical delivery of projects, working closely with architects, consultants and wider multidisciplinary teams.

You will be involved in:

• Developing and coordinating detailed design and production information
• Producing and managing technical drawings and project information
• Working collaboratively with architects and other technical disciplines
• Supporting the delivery of projects from design through to construction
• Coordinating project information and ensuring technical standards are maintained
• Providing technical guidance and support to other members of the team
• Assisting with design coordination, quality checks and project delivery
• Supporting the development and implementation of CAD/Revit standards

About You

The following experience is essential:

• Significant experience working within the architectural / construction industry
• Strong technical architectural knowledge and experience
• Excellent Revit and CAD experience
• Experience delivering projects to BIM Level 2 or equivalent standards
• Experience producing and coordinating detailed technical information
• Understanding of construction, materials, detailing and relevant standards
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Suitable technical qualifications, or equivalent experience

Experience with Revit coordination, clash review, Revit standards, families and templates would be highly relevant to the role.
