Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician for a 12-month contract in Birmingham. Hybrid working (2/3 days in the office) with a focus on technical excellence and Building Regulations compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in architectural detailing, strong AutoCAD and Revit skills, and proven ability to deliver schemes through RIBA Stage 4 within large-scale projects across sectors such as commercial and residential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist.
• Experience delivering projects through RIBA Stage 4.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
• CIAT membership or relevant accreditation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and coordinate detailed technical drawings and construction packages.
• Deliver projects through RIBA Stage 3-4
• Develop and maintain accurate BIM models and drawing sets.
• Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with current Building Regulations and industry standards.
• Support the coordination and resolution of technical design issues.
• Work collaboratively to meet project deadlines and quality requirements.
• 5+ years as an Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist.
• Demonstrable experience delivering projects through RIBA Stage 4.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit.
• Experience producing detailed technical and construction drawings.
• Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience working on large-scale commercial, residential, healthcare or education projects.
• Knowledge of BIM coordination processes and standards.
• Experience collaborating with contractors during the construction phase.
• CIAT membership or relevant industry accreditation.
• Previous experience working within a hybrid project delivery environment.
