Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an Architectural Technologist for a Central Birmingham office. The role focuses on BIM-led project delivery, coordinating technical information and producing coordinated drawing packages.

You will work across RIBA Stages 3 onwards with a mix of commercial, residential and industrial projects, using Revit and other 3D tools. Hybrid working and a competitive salary are on offer.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' post-qualification experience in a related role.
• Proven track record delivering technically complex projects through construction stages.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery from developed design through construction.
• Coordinate with external design practices, consultants, contractors and clients.
• Develop and manage project information using BIM processes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and maintain communication across delivery stages.
• Attend design team meetings, workshops and site meetings as required.

Position: Architectural Technologist

Location: Central Birmingham (New Street & Jewellery Quarter)

Salary: Up to £45,000 + hybrid working + further benefits to be discussed

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Architectural Technologist to join a well-established architectural practice specialising in technical delivery, BIM implementation and the successful execution of complex projects, based in their Central Birmingham office. The practice is recognised for its expertise in translating ambitious design concepts into coordinated, buildable solutions and regularly collaborates with a number of leading design‑led architectural studios across a diverse range of sectors. Our client are receptive in their search and would also like CVs from Senior Architectural Technologists with strong experience from RIBA stages 3 onwards.

The successful Architectural Technologist will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical information, leading project coordination, and supporting projects through the later design and construction stages. This position is well suited to an experienced technologist with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for BIM-led project delivery within a highly collaborative environment. Our client have a diverse portfolio including Large-scale commercial office developments, High-rise residential, Mixed-use regeneration and masterplan projects, Retail, leisure and hospitality developments, industrial and energy infrastructure projects as well as further Education projects.

Architectural Technologist Overview

• Lead / assist with technical delivery of projects from developed design through to construction, producing coordinated and accurate drawing packages.
• Work collaboratively with external design- led architectural practices, consultants, contractors and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Develop and manage project information using BIM processes and methodologies in line with industry best practice.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and maintain effective communication throughout all stages of project delivery.
• Attend and contribute to design team meetings, technical workshops and site meetings as required.
• Ensure compliance with current UK Building Regulations, relevant legislation and quality management procedures.
• Assist in the production and coordination of detailed drawing packages and technical information across a range of projects.
• Contribute to project delivery using Revit and BIM processes within an established BIM-accredited environment.

Architectural Technologist Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' post qualification experience within a relevant role
• Proven track record delivering technically complex projects through construction stages within the Residential, Industrial or Commercial sectors
• Excellent knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows advantageous, good knowledge of other 3D software would also be fine
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, current planning policies and associated legislation.
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams and alongside external design practices.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Live within a commutable distance of Central Birmingham.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum DOE - More for a Senior Technologist
