Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD in Stockport is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to lead the technical delivery of projects from planning through to completion. You will produce, coordinate and manage detailed technical information using Revit, and liaise with design teams, clients, consultants and contractors to ensure robust, coordinated packages.

The role requires strong Revit proficiency, UK Building Regulations knowledge, and a proactive approach to problem solving

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience within a UK Architectural Practice, with strong technical delivery experience.
• Excellent proficiency in Revit and experience producing detailed technical information.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction technology and technical detailing.
• Proven experience taking responsibility for technical project delivery and/or job running.
• Experience producing and managing NBS specifications advantageous.
• Confident dealing with technical queries from clients, consultants and contractors.
• Comfortable attending site and resolving technical issues during construction.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to act as a senior technical point of contact.
• Architectural Technologist or Architect background considered, provided there is strong technical delivery experience.
• Sector experience is flexible; experience across Residential, Education, Commercial, Healthcare or similar sectors would be welcomed.
• Proactive, well-organised and able to take ownership of projects within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawing packages, including General Arrangement drawings and construction details.
• Coordinate technical information between the design team, consultants, contractors and clients.

• Prepare and manage NBS specifications and associated technical documentation.
• Act as a key technical point of contact for clients, consultants and contractors.
• Attend and contribute to design team meetings, client meetings and site visits.
• Help ensure projects are technically robust, coordinated and deliverable.
• Support and share technical knowledge with other members of the team where required.

Job description

Our client, a well-established RIBA Chartered Architectural Practice based in Stockport, is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join their growing team. With a strong and increasing project pipeline, they are looking for an technically confident individual who can take responsibility for the delivery of projects and provide a high level of technical support across the practice.

This is a key role for an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist who is confident taking projects through technical delivery, coordinating consultants, responding to technical queries and working directly with clients and contractors. You will play an important role in ensuring projects are technically coordinated, well documented and successfully delivered on site.

The practice operates within a Revit-led environment and is looking for someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent construction detailing skills and proven experience of delivering technical packages. Sector experience is flexible, with current work spanning Residential, Education, Commercial and University projects, alongside a wider and varied workload.

This role would suit a Senior Architectural Technologist or technically focused Architect who enjoys the delivery side of architecture, is confident dealing with technical challenges and is looking for a long-term opportunity within an established and growing practice.
