Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician for a 12-month contract in Birmingham. Hybrid working - 2/3 days in the office, with a technically focused environment and exposure to RIBA Stage 3-4 projects. You will produce detailed drawings, develop BIM models in Revit, coordinate with architects and contractors, and ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations to meet deadlines and quality standards. The role requires 5+ years of experience and strong BIM and CAD skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist.
• Experience delivering projects through RIBA Stage 4.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit and BIM.
• Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations and detailing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years as an Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist.
• Demonstrable experience delivering projects through RIBA Stage 4.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit.
• Experience producing detailed technical and construction drawings.
• Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Experience working on large-scale commercial, residential, healthcare or education projects.
• Knowledge of BIM coordination processes and standards.
• Experience collaborating with contractors during the construction phase.
• CIAT membership or relevant industry accreditation.
• Previous experience working within a hybrid project delivery environment.
