Job summary

Eaton MSD Cheltenham seeks a Tech Specialist - Aircraft Power Electronics to provide senior leadership for architecture, design, verification, and certification of safety-critical power electronics for high-voltage aircraft power systems.

You will drive adoption of SiC/GaN devices, model-based design, and robust certifiable architectures, aligned with ARP4754A/ARP4761 and DO-178C/DO-254 up to DAL A where required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering with power electronics focus.
• Chartered status desirable.
• Experience in safety-critical aerospace systems preferred.
• Knowledge of ARP4754A/ARP4761 and DO-178C/DO-254 helpful.

Responsibilities

• Define complex multi-disciplinary engineering problems focusing on HVDC/AC conversion and certification risk.
• Lead power electronics strategy and technology roadmap with Technical Authority.
• Mentor engineers across disciplines and ensure timely delivery.
• Act as senior technical authority and customer-facing escalation point.
• Support bid activities with technical input and risk identification.
