Job summary

ExTrac is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its AI team in London, building Co-Analyst and the analytical AI features around it. You will own services end to end across Python and Go, and work with the data and ML teams to productionize research-driven capabilities.

You will design APIs, ensure latency and reliability, and ship features weekly. The role requires 4+ years producing production-grade services, with experience in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with production-grade services and end-to-end ownership.
• Proficiency in building services in Python, with working knowledge of Go.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with feature flags and trunk-based deployment.
• Comfortable taking a PRD and scoping a technical design.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate production backend services in Python and Go, including latency, cost, and reliability.
• Design APIs used by internal teams and customers, with clear contracts and versioning.
• Own end-to-end services, from design to deployment and operation.
• Contribute to system design and architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with analysts, product, and ML teams to productionize research features.
