ExTrac AI seeks an ML Engineer to join its London-based team. You will own end-to-end components, work with software engineers and product designers, and help translate research into practical, scalable solutions for analysts handling geopolitical data.

You will contribute to agentic systems, model serving, and retrieval workflows, with a focus on robust, production-ready deployments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on involvement in production systems or components end-to-end.
• Experience with model serving (small models and LLMs).
• Exposure to agent orchestration or retrieval systems.
• Experience designing and benchmarking evaluations.
• Strong fundamentals: clean, maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Design systems balancing research velocity with product constraints.
• Contribute to model selection, training approaches, evaluation and deployment.
• Build and ship production-ready components with practical engineering.
• Lead projects from exploration to reliable deployment.
• Maintain high standards for architecture, code quality, and research practices.
