Job summary

ExTrac is seeking a Senior ML Engineer to join its London-based Machine Learning team. You will collaborate with software engineering and product design to design, run evaluations, and productionize optimized workflows for large-scale geopolitical analysis.

You will architect agentic systems, train and evaluate domain-specific models, and translate research into practical, scalable solutions alongside domain experts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building production ML systems at scale.
• Strong track record with model serving (including LLMs) and end-to-end ownership.
• Experience designing evaluation strategies and benchmarking models.

Responsibilities

• Design systems balancing research velocity with production constraints.
• Decide on model selection, training approaches, evaluation and deployment.
• Deliver production-ready systems at scale with rigorous engineering standards.
• Lead projects from exploration to reliable deployment.
• Mentor teammates and set engineering standards across the team.
