Job summary

ExTrac AI in London seeks a Senior ML Engineer to join the Machine Learning team, owning modelling capabilities end-to-end, collaborating with software engineering and product design to productionize workflows and ensure reliability at scale.

You will design agentic systems for large-scale geopolitical analysis, train domain-specific models, mentor others, and drive technical direction across major initiatives while engaging with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience building production ML systems at scale.
• Hands-on model serving and retrieval systems expertise.
• Rigour in evaluation and benchmarking.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and maintainable code.
• Comfort with fast-paced environments and clear ownership.
• Experience with modern coding agents and thoughtful workflows

Responsibilities

• Design scalable production systems that balance research velocity with product constraints.
• Make technical decisions on model selection, training, evaluation and deployment.
• Deliver production-ready systems at scale with robust engineering practices.
• Take projects from exploration through reliable deployment.
• Uphold high standards for architecture, code quality and research methods
