Job summary

ExTrac AI is seeking a Software Engineer to join the AI team, building Co-Analyst and analytical AI features around it. You will own well-defined features end to end, delivering production-ready components across Python and Go in a fast-moving environment.

The role involves agent orchestration, retrieval, and graph analytics, with weekly feature landings and close collaboration with data and ML teams. Hybrid work from our London hubs is supported.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building production-grade services.
• Proficiency in Python; working knowledge of Go.
• Exposure to agentic systems, LLM apps, or retrieval in production.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and databases.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and the CI/CD pipelines around it.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve components of the agent loop: context assembly, tool selection, and sub-agent orchestration.
• Develop analytical AI features from network construction to analyst summaries.
• Run experiments against live analyst traffic behind feature flags.
• Help define what success looks like and be honest about results when a promising approach is not working.
• Collaborate with ML teams to productionize models and ingest pipelines.
• Build and maintain APIs used by internal teams and customers, following contracts and versioning.
• Work with storage layer considerations: schema, indexing, and access patterns across stores.
