Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors is seeking a forward deployed engineer to sit with business users and transform complex processes into production AI and data solutions. You will join a firm-wide AI transformation, embedding with business units and delivering end-to-end capabilities—from data sourcing to production governance.

You will work across Python, SQL, LLMs, and agent frameworks, building scalable investment capabilities on Nexus and exposing reusable components through Accio and Nexus.

Qualifications

• Four years or more in a technical, business-facing engineering role, with delivery across the stack.
• Proficient Python and SQL with production-grade delivery experience.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, agent development, and evaluation at scale.
• Experience building data pipelines from APIs/enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of Azure, CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure as code.
• Strong stakeholder skills and ability to navigate ambiguity in business problems.

Responsibilities

• Embed with business units to understand workflows and data friction.
• Design, build, and productionise high-complexity AI solutions from concept to live running.
• Build investment capability on Nexus and extend it firm-wide.
• Make data and capability reusable via Accio, Nexus, and enterprise data platforms.
• Collaborate with Percepta and AI Engineering to deliver core-stack components; ensure governance and security.
