Job summary

Tesco Stores Limited is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for its Innovation Engineering team to design, build and operationalise AI-powered cyber defence capabilities. You will lead on security architecture, apply AI, and drive secure, scalable solutions across Tesco’s retail ecosystem.

You will work with Security Automation Engineering to plan a roadmap, deliver production-grade capabilities, and influence across security and technology teams with a customer-first mindset.

• Expertise in applying AI to cyber defence with measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver innovative security capabilities from concept to production with measurable outcomes.
• Embed AI and automation to improve security results while ensuring safety and operability.
• Lead modern engineering approaches for cyber defence, focusing on automation, experimentation, maintainability, and scale.
• Champion secure, test-driven engineering with automated testing and disciplined change control.
• Share knowledge, inspire teams, and drive adoption of new capabilities across stakeholders.
• Design evaluation strategies and testing to prove effectiveness and resilience of controls.
