Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Security Manager within its Security Operations Centre to lead transformation, drive proactive cyber defence, and empower a high-performing team. You will champion AI-enabled innovations while aligning security outcomes with Tesco’s strategic priorities across people, process and technology.

The role reports to the SOC Manager and sits within the Investigation & Incident Response management team, focusing on delivering resilient services and continuous improvement in a retail

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading and managing technical teams.
• Ability to define and execute strategic roadmaps for cyber defense.
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficient understanding of threat detection and incident response practices.
• Experience embracing and enabling change with minimal service disruption.
• Familiarity with SOC tooling and incident management workflows.
• Foundational understanding of applying AI and automation to cyber defense.
• Experience hiring and developing security talent.
• Commitment to inclusive, collaborative team culture.
