Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain scalable production ML pipelines and infrastructure. You will work with data scientists, software engineers, and operations teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of ML services in Randburg.

You will implement CI/CD for ML models, monitor systems, and optimize models for production, leveraging AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and Airflow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years deploying production ML systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with data pipelines and Airflow.
• Strong testing, CI/CD, and monitoring practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable production ML pipelines and infrastructure.
• Deploy ML models into production ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for ML services.
• Collaborate with data scientists to optimize models for production deployment.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for ML model updates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production ML issues under pressure.
• Work with cloud platforms and containerization tech (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Automate ML system management tasks and stay current with MLOps best practices.
