Job summary

Netcompany is seeking a Senior AI Engineer in Leeds to build, deploy, and maintain ML/AI solutions across the full development lifecycle. You will work with senior data scientists, engineers, and consultants, contributing from data prep to production deployment and monitoring.

You will design data science components, apply ML techniques, and ensure scalable, observable pipelines while collaborating with clients and internal teams. Hybrid work & learning opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and C#. SQL or R is a plus.
• Experience with Cloud AI services such as Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI.
• Hands-on experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Knowledge of ML algorithms and techniques including regression, trees, XGBoost, time series.
• Understanding of model evaluation and explainability concepts.
• Experience with end-to-end observability and monitoring for AI.
• Experience handling large, complex datasets.
• Knowledge of public sector data and regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and maintain ML/AI solutions across the full development lifecycle.
• Design and implement data science components translating requirements into working code.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to communicate technical findings clearly.
• Mentor junior data scientists and engineers; promote technical excellence.
