Understanding Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to own end-to-end production AI systems and cloud infrastructure. You will ship and operate AI/LLM services in a production environment, with emphasis on deployment, observability, and cost efficiency.

The role focuses on building scalable AI pipelines, working with AWS, CI/CD, and modern tooling such as FastAPI and Pydantic, while offering potential growth into senior/lead responsibilities.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of engineering experience in ML/AI systems and production environments.
• Background in ML Engineering, MLOps, Platform Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Strong Python development experience and production-grade software practices.
• Hands-on experience building and operating systems in AWS and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience deploying and maintaining production ML or AI services.
• Good understanding of CI/CD, containers and infrastructure-as-code.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Grafana, CloudWatch, Langfuse or similar).
• Exposure to LLMs, RAG, NLP or generative AI is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Building and operating production AI/LLM services.
• Designing and scaling cloud infrastructure in AWS.
• Improving CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code and automated deployments.
• Developing and debugging Python services using FastAPI and Pydantic.
• Building production RAG pipelines with embeddings, indexing, retrieval and reranking.
• Implementing monitoring, tracing and observability across AI services.
• Improving system reliability, performance, compute efficiency and cost.
• Owning technical problems from development and staging through to production.
