Job summary

Lenovo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead teams within the AI Technology Center, driving the Hybrid AI strategy. You will act as a technical authority on design patterns, code quality, and testing approaches, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across research, engineering, and product groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years of software engineering and design-pattern experience.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud computing, and Linux environments.
• Strong Python and at least one of Go, C++, Rust, or Java.
• Proven ability to scale AI infrastructure with production-grade reliability, performance and security.
• Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure and hybrid cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams that architect, build, and evolve software enabling Hybrid AI strategy.
• Serve as technical authority on design patterns, code quality, test approach; mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with research, engineering, product to align infrastructure with objectives.
• Ensure security across code design, CI/CD, and post deployment phases.
• Profile, benchmark, and optimize AI infrastructure and model serving for performance and cost.
• Maintain governance, compliance, and secure access controls for AI infra.
