The Advanced AI Technology Center (AAITC) at Lenovo is building world-class AI infrastructure and platforms to support the AI-first transformation of Lenovo and its customers. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in software/infrastructure engineering, with at least 4 years focusing on AI/ML infra.
• Strong leadership/mentoring experience on infrastructure projects.
• Deep expertise in computer systems, distributed systems, and cloud architectures.
• Strong proficiency in Python and at least one systems language (Go, C++, Rust, Java).
• Expert Linux system administration, including package management, shell scripting, networking, and system tuning.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive long-term AI infrastructure strategy for workloads from experimentation to production.
• Mentor infrastructure engineers; establish engineering standards and design reviews.
• Design and own platforms for deploying, monitoring, and scaling AI models at production scale.
• Develop automation for AI model training, evaluation, testing, and deployment; promote IaC practices.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, product managers, and leadership to align infra with research goals.
• Lead performance optimization for throughput, latency, GPU usage, and cost at scale.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance across AI infrastructure.
• Plan capacity and cost management for GPU clusters and related resources.
