Job summary

The Citation Group is seeking an AI Architect to lead architectural decisions for AI/Data across the delivery area, reporting to the Chief AI Officer. You will own AI-specific architecture, influence across product and security, and ensure architectural patterns are applied to live builds.

We expect senior level experience with hands-on production AI systems, and the role sits within Citations's AI/Data architecture area, liaising with multiple domains and guiding vendor and internal design

Qualifications

• Senior role with 6+ years in software, data, or platform engineering/architecture
• Hands-on production AI systems experience, not just pilots

Responsibilities

• Architectural standards and patterns for AI systems
• Own design patterns for retrieval/grounding, agent orchestration, prompt construction and guardrails
• Define model selection framework for open-weight vs closed models
• Track token spend and cost-per-outcome with observability
• Ensure security involvement in major AI initiatives from start
• Provide governance and design authority in AI initiatives and SOWs
• Oversee data architecture readiness across Salesforce, Atlas, Snowflake and integration layers
• Set production quality standards for AI systems, observability and incident response
• Engage with delivery partners to review proposals and enforce standards
