Job summary

LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions (LNIP) seeks an AI Architect to own Protégé within PatentSight+. This senior IC role spans the full stack, from agentic layer to platform components, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with RELX Responsible AI standards.

You will collaborate with Engineering Leads, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and security teams to define architecture decisions, ADRs, and patterns for AI enrichment and retrieval across patent data.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering production LLM-based systems, including RAG pipelines and multi-step reasoning workflows.
• Strong proficiency in Python for AI service development; knowledge of enterprise integration with C# or similar.
• Experience designing scalable, secure AI architectures with non-functional requirements.
• Background in patent data, IP, or scientific information domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the AI architecture vision for Protégé in PatentSight+, ensuring coherence and future-proof design.
• Evaluate AI technologies, modelling approaches, and platform components.
• Author Architecture Decision Records and system design documentation.
• Architect agentic reasoning systems for multi-step analyses across data sources.
• Design retrieval and search architectures for patent data at scale.
