Job summary

LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions (LNIP) in the UK is seeking an AI Architect to lead the architecture of Protégé within PatentSight+. You will drive end-to-end AI system design, from agentic layers to retrieval architectures, ensuring security, scalability and compliance with RELX AI standards.

The role requires senior level expertise in AI/ML architectures, production LLM systems, and collaboration with engineering, product and data teams across LNIP.

Qualifications

• Must have strong software engineering background with AI/ML architecture experience.
• Production LLM-based systems experience including RAG pipelines and multi-step reasoning workflows.
• Experience with enterprise microservice integration and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define AI architecture vision for Protégé in PatentSight+.
• Evaluate AI technologies and platform components for scalability.
• Architect agentic reasoning systems for patent questions and multi-source synthesis.
• Lead ADRs and system design documentation.
