Job summary

LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions (LNIP) is seeking an AI Architect to lead the architecture for Protégé within PatentSight+. You will shape the full stack, from agentic layers to data pipelines, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with RELX Responsible AI standards.

You will work with engineering leads, data scientists, and product teams to deliver robust, multi-source patent insights and trustworthy AI capabilities at scale.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering production LLM-based systems and RAG pipelines.
• Experience with agentic/tool-use frameworks and multi-step reasoning workflows.
• Strong engineering discipline for scalable AI services and secure data handling.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the AI architecture vision for Protégé in PatentSight+.
• Evaluate AI technologies and platform components to inform roadmap.
• Design retrieval and search architectures for patent data.
• Establish prompt engineering standards and evaluation harnesses.
• Collaborate with security and platform teams on governance and compliance.
• Communicate architectural decisions to senior leadership and stakeholders.
