LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions UK is seeking an AI Architect to be the technical authority for Protégé within PatentSight+. You will shape the AI stack, ensuring coherence, scalability, security and alignment with RELX Responsible AI standards.

This is a senior individual-contributor role coordinating with Engineering Leads, PMs and data teams. You will design agentic reasoning systems, retrieval architectures, and governance for LLM-powered patent intelligence, prioritising

Qualifications

• Proven production experience delivering LLM-based systems and RAG pipelines.
• Strong Python skills for AI service development; enterprise integration knowledge.
• Experience with vector databases, search engines, and data platforms.
• Ability to design secure, auditable AI systems with non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and own AI architecture vision for Protégé in PatentSight+.
• Evaluate AI technologies and modelling approaches for scalable systems.
• Author ADRs and system design documentation with clear rationale.
• Architect agentic reasoning, multi-step analyses and cross-source insights.
• Design retrieval and search architectures for fast, accurate patent intel.
