Job summary

RELX, LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions (LNIP), is seeking an AI Architect to serve as the technical authority for Protégé within PatentSight+. You will influence the full stack from agentic layer to data sources, ensuring scalable, secure AI systems that align with RELX Responsible AI standards and product strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering production LLM-based systems with RAG pipelines and agentic/tool-use frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Python for AI service development.
• Experience with vector databases and semantic search pipeline design.
• Ability to document architecture decisions and communicate them clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the AI architecture vision for Protégé in PatentSight+, ensuring decisions are coherent and future-proof.
• Evaluate AI technologies, modelling approaches, and platform components.
• Stay updated with advances in agentic AI and domain-specific AI research.
• Translate capabilities into practical architectural recommendations and ADRs.
• Architect agentic reasoning systems to decompose patent questions and plan analyses.
• Design retrieval and search architectures for low-latency patent intelligence.”
• Define patterns for AI-driven enrichment and classification at scale, with auditable outputs.
• Establish prompt engineering standards and quality frameworks for production LLMs.
