You will own canonical patterns, drive the most strategic deployments, and set the architecture direction across accounts. You will write code, mentor engineers, and lead cross-functional collaboration with product and security leadership.

You will brief CISOs and CIOs, shape standards, and define observability and authorization metrics to scale across customers, with occasional travel up to 35%.

Qualifications

• 10+ years shipping production software with distributed systems and identity experience.
• Authority-level identity protocols and standards contributions are a plus.
• Proven AI hands-on with production integrations across major agent platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own the reference architecture for agent identity and kill-switch patterns across portfolios.
• Lead the hardest, most strategic deployments with no playbook yet.
• Coach senior engineers, set standards for architecture, and shape the roadmap with leadership.
• Represent Okta as a technical authority to CIOs, CISOs, and product leadership.
• Define evaluation metrics for authorization latency, scope sprawl, and audit completeness.
• Build reusable modules and tooling to accelerate the FDE function.
