Job summary

The Streetly Academy in Sutton Coldfield is seeking an experienced administrator to manage complex systems, including SEND coordination and financial administration, while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

You will support EHCP processes, liaise with Local Authorities, parents and staff, manage budgets and forecasts, and provide high quality operational support to the SEND team.

Qualifications

  • Significant administrative experience.
  • Experience of financial administration, budget monitoring or forecasting.
  • Excellent ICT skills and confidence with detailed records.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate EHCP Annual Reviews and ensure timely documentation.
  • Maintain SEND records and student information accurately.
  • Support EHCP consultations and communication with Local Authorities.
  • Oversee SEND funding records and monitor income and expenditure.
  • Assist with SEND budget preparation and funding forecasts.
  • Coordinate key departmental processes and ensure QA of SEND documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with students, parents, staff and external agencies.
  • Provide high quality operational support to the SENDCo and team.

Job description

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, confident with financial information and able to manage a varied and demanding workload. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise professionally with parents, staff, external professionals and Local Authorities.

The role would suit an experienced administrator, finance officer, school business support professional or someone with experience of managing complex systems and statutory processes.

Responsibilities
  • coordinate the administration of EHCP Annual Reviews and ensure documentation is completed within required timescales;
  • maintain accurate SEND records, systems and student information;
  • support the coordination of EHCP consultations, transitions and communication with Local Authorities;
  • oversee SEND funding records and work closely with the SENDCo and Finance Manager to monitor income, expenditure and financial commitments;
  • support the preparation and updating of SEND budget and funding forecasts;
  • identify and follow up funding discrepancies, missing payments and outstanding information;
  • coordinate key departmental processes, including Student Support Plans and provision records;
  • support the quality assurance of SEND documentation;
  • communicate sensitively and professionally with students, parents, staff and external agencies;
  • provide high quality operational and administrative support to the SENDCo and wider SEND team.
Requirements
  • significant administrative experience;
  • experience of financial administration, budget monitoring or forecasting;
  • excellent ICT skills and confidence in managing detailed records and data;
  • the ability to prioritise competing deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure;
  • sound judgement and the ability to recognise when matters need to be escalated;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • the ability to build positive professional relationships;
  • discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information;
  • a commitment to inclusive education and improving outcomes for students with SEND.
