Job summary

St Dominic’s School, part of Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust, is seeking an organized SEN Administrator to support Admissions and SEN departments. You will handle confidential information, manage SEND resources, and work under the Admissions Manager and SENCo to ensure high standards of administration.

The role requires GCSE English, Arbor experience, and strong ICT and communication skills. The post is full-time, on-site, term-time only with safeguarding commitment and ongoing

Qualifications

  • Proficient ICT skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential administrative support to Admissions Manager and SENCo.
  • Manage SEND resources for efficient use.
  • Deliver a range of admin tasks under direction of SENCo and Admissions Manager.

Working Pattern: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 16:00pm with 30 minutes (unpaid) lunch break, term-time only (39 weeks)

We are seeking a highly organised SEN Administrator to provide effective and confidential comprehensive administrative support to the Admissions Manager and SENCo, to ensure the smooth and efficient running of departments. Under the daily direction and management of Admissions Manager and SENCo, be responsible for the day-to-day organisation and administration of the Admissions and SEN departments and their administration and relevant procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise discretion, confidentiality and professional judgement in all aspects of liaison with prospective families and other stakeholders of the school(s).
  • To manage appropriate SEND resources and to ensure that they are used efficiently, effectively and safely
  • To work under the direction of the SENCo and Admissions Manager to deliver a comprehensive range of administrative tasks to a high standard;
  • To be aware of and support the school’s (OHCAT) commitment to equal opportunities. To ensure a commitment to equal opportunities in as aspects of practice
  • Attendance at all safeguarding (and related) training as required by the school.
Key Requirements
  • Good literacy skills: to hold a minimum of GCSE (A-C) or equivalent in English
  • Experience of administrative systems – Arbor
  • Competent with ICT, including MS Office
  • Experience of working as part of a team and to strict deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
