Job summary

Children and Family Health Devon is seeking a proactive Senior Administrator to join the team at the John Parkes site, Torbay Hospital. The role provides essential administrative and customer-facing support across pathways, helping to ensure smooth, efficient, and professional daily operations.

The post is permanent and part-time (22.5 hours per week). You will work closely with colleagues, frontline clinicians, and managers, delivering confidential secretarial and administrative support within

Qualifications

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Clerical, administrative or reception experience (minimum 1 year).
  • Clerical, administrative or reception experience (minimum 2 years).

Responsibilities

  • Diary management and use of electronic systems.
  • Preparation of electronic and paper files; producing letters and reports.
  • Assisting with reporting and data compilation; processing incoming correspondence.
  • Providing excellent customer service face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Support to clinical team members.

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised BusinessSupport Senior Administrator to join our friendly team based at our John Parkes site, Torbay Hospital. This pivotal role provides essential administrative andcustomer facing support to our pathways, helping to ensure the smooth,efficient, and professional running of the service each day.

You will work closely with your business support colleagues,frontline clinicians, and managers delivering collaborative, accurate, and reliable secretarial and administrative support across the team.

This is a permanent position working 22.5 hours perweek.

Main duties of the job

Diary management

Use of electronicsystems

Preparation ofelectronic and paper files

Producing lettersand reports

Assisting withreporting and compilation of data

Processing ofincoming correspondence

Providing excellentcustomer service by responding to face to face and telephone queries in atimely and accurate way

Support to clinicalteam members

Experience
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Willing to undertake training relevant to the post

  • Good knowledge of a wide range of office procedures
  • Clerical, administrative or reception experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Experience within a customer care, healthcare, education or social care setting
Qualifications
  • Good general education e.g. GCSEs or equivalent
  • NVQ level 3 Business Administration or equivalent experience
