Suffolk County Council in Ipswich is seeking a Senior Administrator on a fixed-term/secondment basis until 30 April 2028. The role is part-time (14.8 hours per week) with hybrid working and salary £28,598 plus a 3.3% annual pay rise pro rata.

This role is a job share with fellow Senior Administrator in the team. In this role, you will use your organisational, communication and administrative skills to support the day-to-day operation of the Passenger Transport Team. You will contribute to a service area that supports a range of passenger transport functions, including school travel, social care transport, local bus services, community transport and wider operational activity.

The post sits within the Passenger Transport Team in the Growth, Highways and Infrastructure Directorate. The team delivers travel services across Suffolk, managing over 2,000 contracted routes and working with around 240 transport operators. In this role, you will help the team run smoothly by prioritising enquiries, updating records, preparing information, supporting meetings, progressing actions and liaising with colleagues, customers and providers to deliver accurate, responsive business support.
