Job summary

Suffolk County Council is recruiting a Business Support Coordinator within the Children’s and Young People Services Integrated Front Door in Ipswich. You will manage sensitive safeguarding information, coordinate multi‑agency data sharing and support high‑quality, timely responses to concerns.

This permanent, office‑based role is 37 hours per week with flexible working options. You will need strong administrative skills, meticulous attention to detail and proven proficiency with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • manage and accurately record sensitive safeguarding information
  • gather and collate intelligence from partner agencies (Police, Health, Education)
  • maintain high-quality, compliant data systems
  • respond to enquiries promptly and escalate urgent concerns
  • support clear communication across a busy multidisciplinary team
  • help coordinate information sharing between agencies
  • arrange and support multi-agency meetings
  • track actions and follow up on key tasks
  • ensure processes align with safeguarding and data protection standards
  • monitor deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively
  • assist with real-time updates during high-priority cases.

Your role and responsibilities

You will

  • manage and accurately record sensitive safeguarding information
  • gather and collate intelligence from partner agencies (Police, Health, Education)
  • maintain high-quality, compliant data systems
