Job summary

SMH Group in Harrogate is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to manage a portfolio of clients and provide accounts and audit support for a busy practice.

You will prepare and review financial statements, interim management accounts, personal tax and partnership returns, and participate in client meetings with directors and owners. Eligibility requires ACA/ACCA qualification and solid practice background, with IT skills in Office 365 and IRIS.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong background in practice.
• Must be able to actively manage own workloads and team development.
• IT skills to operate Office 365 and accounting software.
• Experience with portfolios of mixed clients, focusing on accounts, tax and advisory work.

Responsibilities

• Manage own portfolio of clients.
• Prepare and review complex company financial statements.
• Prepare and review interim management accounts.
• Prepare and review personal tax returns.
