Unity Resourcing Ltd is recruiting an ambitious Accountant to join our Harrogate-based practice. The role offers exposure across accounts, tax and audit with a clear development path to Manager and Partner levels.

Applications welcome from part-qualified, finalist and fully qualified accountants; salary and responsibilities will align with experience. On-site role in Harrogate with structured mentoring and career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and compliance work.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
• Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Preparing statutory accounts for a diverse client portfolio.
• Supporting personal and corporation tax compliance work.
• Assisting with and leading audit assignments.
• Liaising directly with clients and building strong relationships.
• Handling day-to-day client queries and providing professional advice.
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
• Maintaining accurate accounting records and reconciliations.

Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)

The Opportunity

This opportunity would suit someone with experience working within an accountancy practice who is looking to broaden their exposure across accounts, tax and audit while progressing their career within a supportive firm.

The Role
