Hawthorne-Finch Talent Solutions Ltd in Leeds is seeking a Senior Accountant / Client Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients, delivering high-quality advisory services.

Ideal candidates are ACA or ACCA qualified with 4–7 years UK practice experience, strong client relationship skills and the ability to mentor junior staff. The role offers progression toward senior leadership and hybrid working with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant required.
• 4–7 years UK accountancy practice experience.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients within an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.
• Knowledge of corporation and personal tax compliance.
• Excellent client relationship management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Commercial awareness and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients and be their primary contact.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts.
• Review corporation tax returns and related compliance.
• Prepare and review management accounts.
• Provide business advisory and strategic financial guidance.
• Coach and develop junior staff and oversee work.
• Identify opportunities to expand services within the client portfolio.
• Support partners with practice development initiatives.
