Job summary

Blinkhorns is seeking a Senior Accountant to support a diverse portfolio of ambitious businesses, entrepreneurs and creative industry clients. You will work closely with Partners and Managers, combining technical expertise with client relationship management and leadership to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• At least 4 years’ experience in a medium sized practice.
• Strong technical ability including a good understanding of Corporation Tax.
• Good team player able to interact at all levels of organisation.
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with clients.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and finalisation of accounts and corporate tax returns for Limited companies and groups in FRS 105 and FRS 102.
• Reviewing corporate accounts prepared by junior team members.
• Filing accounts with Companies House and HMRC as part of wider function.
• Review of sole trader accounts.
• Preparation of personal tax returns.
• Responsibility for small portfolio of monthly/quarterly bookkeeping and MTD and VAT returns.
• Handling day to day queries from clients.
• Research and assistance with more technical areas with managers/partners.
• Active role in training and providing support to junior team members.
• Collaborate across a team of around 16 with managers and partners.
