Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong accounts preparation experience is essential.
• ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, finalist, newly qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Audit experience would be beneficial but is not a prerequisite.
• Strong academic background with UK education preferred.
• Good professional exam progression and technical knowledge.
• Experience gained within reputable accountancy firms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Motivated, professional, and keen to develop a long-term career within practice.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio.
• Preparation of management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Assisting clients with accounting and financial reporting queries.
• Liaising directly with clients and maintaining strong working relationships.
• Supporting managers and partners with the delivery of client work.
• Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Assisting with bookkeeping, VAT returns and other compliance work where required.
• Supporting audit assignments where applicable (audit experience is advantageous but not essential).
