Job summary

Reed Midlands is partnering with a respected accountancy firm to recruit an Audit Manager. You will take ownership of audits from planning to completion, manage client relationships, and mentor junior team members. The role offers hybrid working and strong progression opportunities within a growing practice.

The candidate will have ACA/ACCA, solid UK practice external audit experience, and knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP, with a proven track record in managing engagements and developing teams.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification required.
• Strong external audit experience in UK practice.
• Experience leading group and statutory audits.
• Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP (FRS 101/102).
• Experience managing audit engagements and client relationships.
• Experience coaching and developing junior team members.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors.
• Leading audits from planning through completion and reporting.
• Reviewing statutory accounts and financial statements.
• Managing and developing audit teams.
• Primary point of contact for clients (FDs and CFOs).
• Reviewing complex accounting and financial reporting matters.
• Planning resources and monitoring budgets, recoveries and profitability.
• Delivering high-quality work in line with audit and regulatory requirements.
• Supporting business development activities, proposals and tenders.
• Collaborating with tax and advisory teams to provide joined-up service.
