Job description

This is an opportunity to join a friendly, growing, and ambitious West End accountancy practice on a permanent basis. The firm is looking to double in size over the next five years and seeks a proactive, personable individual comfortable across accounts, tax, and audit.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts & Client Management:
   • Manage a portfolio of 80 limited companies, delivering full statutory accounts, corporate tax returns, and VAT compliance.
   • Use Xero, Sage, and CCH regularly.
2. Tax Compliance & Advisory:
   • Oversee 125 personal tax cases, including work for high-net-worth individuals, investment reliefs (EIS, SEIS, VCT), CGT, and foreign income reporting.
   • Prepare and finalize corporate tax computations, handling approximately 500 hours of tax work per year.
   • Use IRIS for tax processing.
3. Audit & Assurance (c. 20%)
   • Manage 10-12 audits annually, including clients up to £60m turnover.
   • Lead audit planning and execution using CCH Audit software, liaising with clients onsite and remotely.

Candidate Requirements

• ACA / ACCA qualified or experienced QBE
• Experience with CCH, IRIS, Xero, Sage
• Enjoy working in a small team environment and thrive on collaboration
• Confident communicator with a sense of humour and can-do attitude
