Job Description:

This is an opportunity to join a friendly, growing, and ambitious West End accountancy practice on a permanent basis. The firm aims to double in size over the next five years and seeks someone proactive, personable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats across accounts, tax, and audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts & Client Management: Manage a portfolio of 80 limited companies, delivering full statutory accounts preparation, corporate tax returns, and VAT compliance. Regular use of Xero, Sage, and CCH.
• Tax Compliance & Advisory: Oversee 125 personal tax cases, including work for high-net-worth individuals, investment reliefs (EIS, SEIS, VCT), CGT, and foreign income reporting. Prepare and finalize corporate tax computations, handling approximately 500 hours of tax work per year. Use IRIS for tax processing.
• Audit & Assurance (c. 20%): Take ownership of 10-12 audits annually, including clients up to £60m turnover. Lead audit planning and execution (CCH Audit software), liaising with clients both onsite and remotely.

Candidate Requirements

• ACA / ACCA qualified or experienced QBE
• Experience with CCH, IRIS, Xero, Sage
• Enjoys working in a small team environment and thrives on collaboration
• A confident communicator with a sense of humour and can-do attitude
