The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team in Chester.

Working closely with managers and directors, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio. Key Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with clients and provide tailored accounting and business advice.
• Support clients in streamlining their accounting processes and improving efficiencies.
• Prepare year-end statutory financial statements.
• Calculate corporation tax and personal tax liabilities, identifying tax planning opportunities where appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with managers and colleagues across the business to deliver an excellent client service.
• Develop a strong understanding of clients' businesses and provide a proactive, value-added service.
• Mentor, coach, and support junior team members and trainees.

About You

The successful candidate will be a proactive and client-focused accounting professional with a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Skills & Experience

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
• Experience managing a varied portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Comfortable using cloud-based accounting systems and practice software (experience with CCH would be advantageous).
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and forward-thinking team environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
