Role purpose

A Senior Account (Solution) Manager provides leadership to accounts by most often leading a small team in managing existing project execution, such as patient support programs and other programs of work adapted to a client’s needs from our solution suite. The role also supports new business initiatives via extension projects within current accounts and seeks opportunities with new potential clients.

Preferred experience and skills

  • Ideally 4 years in a patient engagement or patient support role, or with a medical communications agency or similar
  • Ability to manage profitable client projects with confidence and limited input
  • Proven ability to reach revenue targets and client satisfaction metrics
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Mentorship, coaching, and development of junior team members with limited oversight
  • Experience with behavioural health, digital health, market research, or patient experience mapping is preferred

Client Engagement

  • Key contact for accounts, working closely with Senior/Solution Executives to manage communication with clients
  • Leads status calls, presentations, workshops, and responds to project requests
  • Builds and maintains trust-based relationships with key client stakeholders
  • Understands project/client situation, patient demographics, and objectives before proposing solutions
  • Addresses issues proactively and leads problem-solving efforts
  • Communicates project requirements, timelines, issues, and progress confidently to all stakeholders

Client Project Management

  • Overall responsibility for managing delivery of work on time, within budget, and to high quality
  • Proactively manages resources and creates project plans
  • Ensures lessons learned are incorporated into future work

Budgeting and profitability

  • Manages financial aspects of projects including budgets, invoices, and profitability
  • Optimizes billable utilization and identifies opportunities for efficiency

Business Development

  • Seeks opportunities for account growth and supports new business pitches
  • Contributes insights and networks to support agency growth

Leadership

  • Develops team through coaching and mentoring
  • Line manages at least one Senior/Solutions Executive, supporting their career development
  • Acts as a role model and supports team members' progression
