Job summary

Rheinmetall Defence UK in Telford is seeking a proactive 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join the IM&T team at the Telford site. You will own complex incidents, support transition from external vendors, and help strengthen enterprise IT across the defence-focused environment.

The role requires strong Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra, Intune and AD skills, with ITIL experience and SC clearance eligibility. Occasional travel to other UK sites will be needed, with a flexible mix of office and home-based

Qualifications

Evidence of 3rd line systems administration or infrastructure support experience.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments, Windows, AD, Group Policy and Intune.
ITIL experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platform.
Eligibility to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance for defence data handling.

Responsibilities

Provide high-level technical expertise to migrate services from outsourced vendors to internal IM&T team.
Act as the senior escalation point for complex incidents and liaise with 3rd party vendors as needed.
Maintain and support IT infrastructure at the Telford site, including server rooms and local assets.
Travel occasionally to other Rheinmetall Defence UK facilities to support deployments and projects.
Identify bottlenecks and implement modern IT solutions to support a growing user base.
