Job summary

LGBT Great is seeking a 3rd Line IT Engineer to join its internal technology team in Greater London. This hands-on role requires ownership of complex escalations and close collaboration with users and senior stakeholders.

Hybrid work is offered: 3 days in the office and 2 days at home, with a focus on keeping the IT environment running smoothly. You'll support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, Windows Server and networking, while mentoring colleagues and contributing to

Qualifications

• Minimum proven 3rd line or senior IT support experience.
• Hands-on Microsoft 365 administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Practical experience with Intune deployment and policy config.
• Solid Windows Server knowledge and administration.
• Good networking fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience handling complex escalations and senior users.

Responsibilities

3rd Line IT Engineer

Up to 40,000

Hybrid working – 3 days office / 2 days home

A growing organisation is looking to add an experienced 3rd Line IT Engineer to its internal technology team.

This is a hands‑on position for someone who enjoys being the person others turn to when an issue needs more than a standard fix. You'll take ownership of complex escalations, work directly with users and senior stakeholders, and play an active role in keeping the wider IT environment running smoothly.

It's an environment where you'll be visible within the team, so we're looking for someone technically strong who is also approachable, confident and enjoys working closely with people.

What you'll be doing:

• Take ownership of complex 3rd line escalations, investigating issues through to resolution.
• Provide hands‑on support across Microsoft 365, Windows, Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Administer and troubleshoot Intune, including device configuration, application deployment and endpoint policies.
• Support Windows Server and wider infrastructure environments.
• Troubleshoot networking issues across DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi‑Fi and connectivity.
• Support laptops, desktops and other end‑user technology throughout their lifecycle.
• Provide technical support to senior stakeholders and key users.
• Support meeting room, AV and workplace technology.
• Work with external suppliers and specialist technical teams where required.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects, upgrades and continuous improvement.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and knowledge articles.
• Share knowledge and support less experienced members of the team.

What we're looking for:

We're looking for someone with proven 3rd line experience rather than someone looking to make their first move beyond 2nd line.

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong experience in a senior IT support, 3rd line or infrastructure support position.
• Hands‑on Microsoft 365 administration experience.
• Strong Active Directory and Entra ID knowledge.
• Practical Intune experience.
• Good Windows Server knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop, endpoint and infrastructure.
• Good understanding of core networking.
• Experience handling complex escalations and senior users.
• A track record of taking ownership rather than simply passing issues on.
