Job summary

St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School & Sixth-Form College in North Featherstone, West Yorkshire, is seeking an exceptional SENDCo to lead our SEN department and support pupils with additional needs.

The role involves coordinating CPD for staff, liaising with Local Authority advisory teams, and working with our Educational Psychologist and safeguarding team to raise outcomes and welfare. Applications welcomed from qualified SENDCo or those training for the qualification.

Qualifications

• Qualified SENDCo or willing to train for SENDCo qualification.
• Experience leading CPD and professional development for staff.
• Experience supporting literacy and numeracy within SEN context.

Responsibilities

• Lead on aspects of CPD to develop staff to meet pupils' needs.
• Collaborate with Local Authority Advisory Teachers and Educational Psychologist.
• Support safeguarding, pastoral duties and SEN timetable within department.
