Job summary

Stoberry Park School is seeking an exceptional candidate to lead SEND provision and work with families to promote inclusive education. The role focuses on removing barriers to learning, developing strategic plans, and ensuring statutory SEND processes are followed.

The successful candidate will work with teachers, families, and external providers to deliver effective support, monitor impact, and contribute to our mission of enabling all learners to thrive.

Qualifications

  • Holds the National SENDCo Qualification or willingness to work toward it.
  • Knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and EHCP process.
  • Experience in supporting SEND pupils and families.

Responsibilities

  • Support SEND children and families by identifying barriers to learning and implementing strategies.
  • Work with staff and families to develop personal improvement plans.
  • Advise on class strategies to support pupils.
  • Monitor and evaluate SEND provision across the school.
  • Maintain accurate records of SEND provision and impact.
  • Prepare and update records to meet statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Headteacher, LAB, and the wider community.
  • Participate in Trust-wide inclusion meetings.
  • Attend meetings with parents, teachers, and providers to meet pupils' needs.

Job description

Weare looking to appoint an exceptional candidate who:

  • Can support SEND children andtheir families through identifying barriers to learning and adopting strategiesthat help overcome these
  • Demonstrate a commitment to aninclusive education for all children through working with staff and families toformulate personal plans for improvement
  • Use a knowledge of the SENCode of Practice and understand the EHCP process and Early Help services tosupport pupils and families
  • Work alongside teachers toprovide advice and develop impactful class strategies
  • Monitor and evaluate thequality and impact of SEND provision across the school
  • Form positive relationships;inspire and motivate all children to enable them to be the best that they canbe
  • Keep up to date and accuraterecords of support and the impact regarding SEND provision
  • Review and update all recordsto ensure that statutory requirements are met
  • Work in partnership with theHeadteacher, LAB and wider community to ensure that our mission and ethos istranslated into action
  • Participate in Trust-wideinclusion meetings
  • Attend meetings with parents,teachers and other providers to ensure all pupils’ needs are met
  • Ensure an inclusive schoolexperience for al learners, not just those with SEND
  • Work with the wider team toclose the gap for vulnerable and disadvantaged learners
  • Holds the National SENDCoQualification or has a willingness to work towardsthe qualification.
