Job summary

Abbeyfield School is seeking an inspirational SEND professional with a proven track record of leading high-quality SEND provision. You will work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for students with SEND and promote inclusion.

You will demonstrate a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, excellent communication, and the ability to raise aspirations while removing barriers to learning.

Qualifications

• Qualified Professional: Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree.
• Proven Impact: Successful recent teaching experience with a strong track record of securing excellent outcomes for students with SEND.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Experience analysing national, local and school-level data to inform strategy and improve outcomes for students with SEND.
• Coaching & Development: Experience supporting, challenging and developing teachers and support staff to strengthen inclusive practice and pedagogy.
• Student Wellbeing & Support: Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies and SEMH support to help students thrive both academically and personally.
