Job summary

North Star 265° is seeking a SEND leader to drive a whole-school approach to SEND, moving beyond case management to proactive identification, intervention, and culture change to ensure every pupil's needs are supported with ambition and care.

The role requires strategic leadership, system-wide identification using the SEN register, overseeing EHCP reviews, and co-producing IEPs with families, delivering CPD for staff and coordinating multi‑agency support to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
  • Holds NASENCO or equivalent
  • Has strong leadership and SEND experience, ideally in alternative provision
  • Has strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and effective intervention strategies
  • Has excellent communication, data analysis, and digital skills
  • Has the ability to lead and inspire staff, families, and professionals
  • Is committed to early intervention and inclusion.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
