Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a qualified SENDCo for a Handsworth-based school. The role focuses on leading and developing the SEND provision, partnering with staff, parents, and external professionals to support every pupil's needs.

The ideal candidate will have SENDCode of Practice expertise, strong safeguarding knowledge and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families. ASAP start, long-term/permanent contract, Ofsted GOOD-rated setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified SENDCo with relevant experience in a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
• Excellent understanding of SEND provision and safeguarding.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day SEND provision across the school.
• Support staff in identifying and meeting the needs of pupils with SEND.
• Oversee and monitor EHCPs, SEND support plans and relevant documentation.
• Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents/carers and external agencies.
• Ensure the school remains compliant with SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice.
